HEXplore It® is a hero building adventure board game for one to seven players.

Enter a realm teeming with fantasy creatures, heroes and villains.

Players select their hero by combining two character options: their Role and their Race. A player's Role is their profession while their Race is their heritage and species. This combination drives their strengths, weaknesses and defines their special abilities and also determines their play style.

Players work together to power up their heroes...

Travel across the map earning power ups by completing quests and battling opponents of several different types. Move carefully to avoid multiple dangers and travel from city to city, visiting shrines and ruins along the way.

Gain power quickly, for the Dead King also moves...

If you dally, you'll begin to find your safe havens disappearing. The Dead King moves across the game board, cursing it with darkness. For each city he destroys, he gains more power.

How will your adventure play out?

With a modular map at your disposal, no two games are ever the same. The options before you are vast, you'll find hours of enjoyment playing through all of the varied content HEXplore It has to offer.

Game Play Cards

These Game Play cards describe the Game Turn sequence in HEXplore It.

Dice in HEXplore It

There are 19 dice included in the game, including 18 ten-sided, and 1 six-sided. The six sided die is numbered 1-5, with the six digit marked by a hex.

Generally when you roll the six sided die for damage (for instance when you are facing your Favored Opponent), the damage "HEXplodes" (see page 43 in the rule book) when you roll hex on the die. You'll also be rolling the six-sided die for several other tasks during the game.

The ten-sided dice are numbered 2-10, with the one digit marked by a hex. Generally you'll roll your ten sided dice when rolling skills. Rolling a hex on the ten sided die is treated as a 1, and is an automatic success. There are a few additional scenarios when you might roll the ten sided die.

For instance, an item in the game allows you to upgrade the Favored Opponent die from a six-sided to a ten-sided. In this situation, the die HEXplodes on a roll of hex or 10, increasing the probability of a HEXploding result!
